Model Tests for Maria

Model Test with Masha – The Second Chapter

It’s always a special feeling when clients return — and this was my second time shooting model tests with Masha. I truly feel honoured when someone comes back to work with me; it means they connect with my vision and trust what I do.

The photos from our first photo session were even chosen for Masha’s Model Composite Card, which makes me incredibly happy as a photographer.

Our new session started long before the day of the shoot itself. Together, we selected references and ideas — looks that could represent Masha in different ways, highlighting her versatility and natural beauty.

The session lasted about eight hours in total. On the first day, we worked five hours in the Loft studio (https://www.theloftstudio.es/), creating five different looks. We combined natural light and studio flashes to explore multiple moods. We began with polaroids without makeup, then gradually built up the styling — adding makeup, changing hairstyles, and experimenting with light setups to ensure every look felt unique and added creative variety to her portfolio.

On the second day, we moved outdoors to Parc de la Ciutadella, where we shot three more looks. We took advantage of the park’s elegant architecture and the soft light of its winter garden.

In total, we created eight complete looks for Masha’s model tests, which I later retouched and colour-graded during the following week.

And voilà — here is our beautiful result ✨

PS. Since Masha has been working as a model for some time, the whole process flowed smoothly. We worked quickly, and she did her own makeup and hair — a true professional. It’s always inspiring to see how experience in the industry develops creativity, independence, and a strong sense of style.
